Pointed, hispi, hearted or sweetheart cabbage as it is sometimes known is a type of green cabbage with green leaves and a pointed head. The leaves are more open than those of a green cabbage and they have a softer texture and sweeter taste.

Kent Family Growers produces a wide variety of vegetables for sale in several venues throughout the North Country and New York State. We have earned organic certification from NOFA-NY, LLC., which means that you can trust that our produce is grown with a concern for your health as well as the health of our soil and farm personnel.
The Kents are Dan, Megan, Maggie, Silas and Hazel. Our farm is located a few miles east of the St. Lawrence River in the town of Waddington, NY. We are proud to neighbor with an above-average group of folks including an organic dairy farm family which takes good care of their cows and their 800 acres, covering most of the land to windward from our farm. We also share fencerows with the Evans family who run a tractor repair shop, Evans Farm Repair, and the Hobkirk family, who with a singular kind of determination that inspires genuine awe, still make a living from milking under a hundred conventional cows every day.
